hey mates,
sorry for suddenly disappearing. had a few stressful weeks: my mother in law had a little accident (nothing serious, "just" a broken leg).
well, in chine the politicians are about just as smart as ours are, so they created a health system that completely relies on care by relatives (even in hospitals) and coupled that with a strict one-child-policy ...
and since her only daughter had been snatched away by some stupid german dude, Ma Ma was pretty alone and we had to frantically ties up our loose ends here and travel to Shanghai for a few weeks. (and me being that stupid german dude wasnt really in any position to object ... Wink )

anyways, i'm back now (well, have been for a few days, but just now settled in and got the time to report back)

what have you guys been up to?

Hey Frisian!

So sorry to hear about your mother! I hope all is well now.

I have had a crazy few weeks with travel and work as well. Just got back in town on May 22nd from 2 weeks traveling for work and seeing the wife in Germany. Met my sister at the airport and now we are hanging out in Spain and getting ready to go to Morocco for a few days this week. I haven't been playing games the last few weeks but I'm currently updating my Star Citizen stuff to the latest patches and planning on trying to practice a bit after I get back from Morocco and after the family clears out.

Also considering buying a MISC Reliant as well. Cool starter alien-tech ship. I would love to meet up with you sometime next week and play some games or chat on team speak. Miss you friend!

thanks mate. missing you guys as well Smile
turns out i wasn't quite back yet. well, physically, i was, but since my wife had to stay longer than expected i was home alone missing her (coz before that unscheduled trip she had been travreling for her work almost all the time we hadnt seen each other for more than e few weeks in 2015 ... but i guess you know how that feels, green)

anyways, i decided i wanted to have a nice surprise for her when she comes home, so i started to rennovate our balcony (which was all but a ruin). about 180 hours of work and a few minor injuries later we now have a balcony that we can actually use and enjoy ;-) hell, had i known how much work it is, i'd never have started, but it was worth it ;-)

Hey Frisan, i think the only reason why people do things is they never estimate how much work it is in the end..  Very Happy
For example Chris Roberts might have thought.
Hey i remember my good old time in game industry, no stressful movie actors from Holywood, and as a Kickstarter campaign it will be a nice way to go back to the business and keep my stress level low. It might need some more time to finish and will most likely be not so profitable as previous projects but its my dream and a good way to overcome my burnout ....BUT
A few mounts later he has a multinational company and is in charge chreating one of the most innovative games ever build, with more responsebilities he had ever in his life........

So things sometimes go different than you thought
