Frisian and I had a nice chat in our little TS channel last night and we were discussing some ideas for us to get together and play games. I'm thinking maybe the end of March, if we have a short board meeting to run a few developments by everyone, then we could play Arena Commander, Moon Base Alpha, etc together. If anyone has another game in mind that we cold be playing together, pitch the idea here too! I'm happy to buy Homeworld, for example, if it means spending more time with Wenceslas!

nice idea , however just add an extra game into the mix.

the pre-alpha of UnrealTournament 4 is also out (and free, since the game engine became "free"/ publicly available last week. )

Hey Green thanks for the compliment im very open what to play but we should choose befor bord meeting so we all have the chance to download the necessary games. The multiplayer of Homeworld it not soooooo well balanced at the moment so as an old Homeworld fan it will be fun for me but may be not for everone.
Thanks Caracca for the hint with Unreal will have a look at it too.
But as i said im realy open, for a relaxed evening we could also consider civilisation or anno in multiplayer.

did anyone try out the free flight multiplayer? coz since we have a pistol after landing on a platform, we might actually able to shoot each other in person ... i would like to try that (after all, in space i never get a chance to shoot wence, i am sure of that ...)

So like to catch up with greens gaming together idear, there are some silent wisperings that during the next days the super hornet and the cutclass will be flyable with a secound person on the gun turret.
Im also open to many other games. But to give a vote im on a classic trip at the moment so i throw starcraft 2 and homeworld into the duscusdion

but if we all could get together in your cutlass, I think that would be a lot of fun. I have no idea yet how (or what) it works, but if we all land we could probably even all sit together in your cargo space and hold a company conference there ...

Sorry, my neighbours son lost it last week and killed his best friend and took a few neighbours hostage. This while dressed in camouflage dress and armed with 3 guns. (Later learnt they didn't work) we had a constant police presence and forensic in and out. All this and counselling teams keep coming around asking if we are ok... Its been a bit of week!! The shame is he was a nice well behaved kid,you just seemed to of cracked. I also learnt he tried to join a Norweigen mercenary group in Syria recently.... Crazy

But yes, give me a time and we can meet up this weekend...

Oh my god Kal-Nor I am so sorry for that senseless loss of life so close to you! That's a very traumatic situation. I hope you and your wife are doing okay, truly! I am up for playing whatever and non-violent / non-FPS games too if you need to take a break. I am going to make some beer maybe during the day Friday and Saturday, but the evenings either of those days work for me.

Everyone I know is ok. I just feel for the kid upstairs and both families, he's a good kid but just lost it and he needs help. Let me know what time and day and I'll try to be there. Not concered on type of game.. But it would be good to meet up.

Oh my god! I know this is old news by now, but i just read it today, and i am very sorry to hear about it. i am glad you and your wife are okay, but like you feel sorry for the kid, his best friend and the people who had to suffer. How are your neighbours (the parents of the two kids) holding up? do you know them well?
i really hope one day our societies will evolve to a point where we help troubled kids before something terrible happens. i dont know about norway, but here in such a case everyone would be busy looking where to lay the blame now (well, games and tv usually, of course) rather than thinking about why this happened and how to help someone beforehand next time.
