image hosting

Hosting site of our profile pics are suddenly being flagged by my company's internal network as dangerous. Maybe we can look into this tonight...

you mean the avatars? we don't have to host them on the forums image server. you can provide an url like imgur. if you get error messages at work, maybe we could simply all re-up them to imgur or something ...

That would be awesome if folks could change their image hosting to imgur. Sorry to be a pain in the ass.

just a quick question: are you sure its only the avatars? coz afaik most of the sites images (like buttons and stuff) are hosted on the same server ... What is the error you experience? any problems with the buttons? coz downloading, re-hosting and re-linking them would take some more time (there gotta be around 200 of them ...)

No, the buttons are fine, it's only where the avatars are hosted:

This link is what gets caught by the filter. Everything else is being managed fine.

okay, I changed my avatar to imgur (note: if you use an external link, it seems size (200x100;<64kb) must be adjusted beforehand (i.e. with paint.net))
if this works for you, i'll pm everyone (just in case not everyone follows every subject)
